Drawings and pictures from the net for all the backgrounds and scenes. And a lot of flash animation and actionscript.

about your question,the sounds,its in wav/mp3 format,i ripped it off the game itself,and you can get midi to wav/mp3 converter nowadays to import your favourite sound and songs,
